Swimwear shoot

Ok, so its pretty great being a jetset photographer – even more so when its raining and grey here when I`m just about to jet off to malaga, Spain to shoot some swimwear with the fabulous Mya Blue Beach!

Its a tricky shoot so its strobist gear ( remote triggers / softbox / bowls w/ grids / gels ) and fast lens ( 24mm / 50mm / 85mm ) with reflectors all the way. My first and prefered technique is to underexpose and use the softbox as a fill flash to get that dynamic punchy look i`m known for. However given the about of light that will be bouncing around out there, this may not be easy to do – simply because of the low flash sync speed.

So fast lens, swallow depth of field with reflectors it is – Ideally I`d like to produce a body of work that uses both techniques so the work has a different tone and depth – but who knows eh?

Here`s the gear – before it gets loaded into Lowepro pro rollers.
